Hello everyone,

I’d like to officially welcome you to this new section of the forum, dedicated to the development of RaiderZ Global. This is where we’ll be sharing technical updates, future plans, and the story behind how we’ve rebuilt and expanded this game from the ground up.

🕰️ The History of RaiderZ Global

When MAIET Entertainment shut down, all official RaiderZ source code was lost with it. Fortunately, the alpha version of the game’s source code had been leaked and preserved by the community.

I personally discovered RaiderZ in 2016, after the official servers were already gone. Like many of you, I was instantly drawn to its unique combat system — a core feature that still stands out today. Wanting to play the game again, I worked with the preserved binaries of a version known as Bolas, which led to the creation of the RaiderZ Legend server.

RaiderZ Legend ran from 2017 to 2023. While it had many limitations due to the lack of source code, it was fully playable and served as a home for many dedicated players. Even now, although new accounts cannot be created, the server is still online for those who had accounts.

In late 2019, everything changed when I discovered the alpha server source code. It was far from complete — unstable, outdated, and full of issues — but it opened the door to real development. In early 2022, I managed to connect this alpha server to the NA level 40 client, creating a new test server. Over time, testers became loyal players, and RaiderZ Global was born.

On February 4, 2023, we reset all accounts and entered a new chapter with fresh progression and a growing community. Since then, we’ve made huge progress, despite one major limitation: we only have binary access to the client (not the source code), which restricts our ability to fix client-side issues.

🎁 A Gift From the Past

In December 2023, we were fortunate to receive a major contribution: a former developer who worked on RaiderZ shared several unreleased files with us — including:

  • The Ranger class

  • Unreleased quests and monsters

  • Improved AI scripts

  • And other development tools

This allowed us to expand the game further and fix several long-standing issues.

🚀 Entering the 64-bit Era

Recently, we achieved one of the most important milestones so far: compiling the server and client in 64-bit (x64).

Here’s why this matters:

Better Performance – 64-bit systems can access more memory and process data more efficiently, which leads to improved stability and loading times.
Fewer Crashes & Disconnects – We can now investigate and resolve memory-related crashes that were impossible to fix in the 32-bit version.
Modern Library Support – We can update or replace outdated libraries (like PathEngine) with modern alternatives or fixed versions, solving issues like navigation bugs.
Long-Term Maintainability – 64-bit ensures future compatibility with modern operating systems and development tools.
New Development Possibilities – With full control over the new client (compiled from the alpha source), we can finally start customizing the game at its core.

⚠️ Important Note: While the server-side 64-bit testing will begin soon, the 64-bit client is still based on the alpha version and not ready for public use. It requires extensive updates and bugfixes to match the content and quality of the current NA client.

Still, this transition marks the beginning of a new era for RaiderZ Global — one where we’re no longer limited by the past and can truly shape the future of the game.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this project so far. We’ve come a long way, and with your feedback and continued enthusiasm, we’ll go even further.

Stay tuned for more updates in this section!
