Visual polish and effect fixes
Item tooltips now display every stat provided by an item, particle effects have returned to their intended sizes, and several rendering problems involving transparent effects have been corrected. These fixes cover a glowing title effect, river water, and visual states that could carry over incorrectly between effects. Cosmetic weapon and shield effects no longer remain after login when they should be inactive, enchantment grade now correctly increases maximum durability, NPC head icons no longer appear washed out, fire and spell effects no longer cast unintended shadows, and Glory Mark nameplates now display their title text and star icon correctly.
New graphics and gameplay options
Client Alpha now includes a HUD clock, corrected FPS counter placement, and a proper 60 FPS limit. We also added options for Double Tap Dodge, the cinematic Fixed Camera used by certain skills, and the on-screen Low HP Warning. These settings give players more control over performance, camera behavior, and combat inputs.
Clearer HP bars and chat colors
Chat balloon colors now match the original game, the unwanted white fill and edge shadows on the mini HP bar have been removed, and party HP bars now use the correct friend and enemy colors. Healing over time captions also display their missing values, with critical healing numbers using the correct red color.
Stability and connections
We fixed a connection freeze affecting some Wine and Proton users during the “Moving to game server” stage and strengthened the surrounding connection process. A broader investigation into memory growth during long sessions also introduced periodic monitoring, a fixed limit for cached resource data, and safer zone transitions that prepare the next map before clearing the previous one.
Engine housekeeping
The patching system now uses a faster binary format, and a technical cache folder has been moved to a safer location to avoid permission problems on restricted systems. The scripting engine has been migrated to a newer and more secure version, and the remaining interface text that was hardcoded in Korean has been replaced with English. On the server side, we fixed a race condition affecting buffs and character stats after reconnecting, closed event registrations are now rejected correctly, and support was added for zones that automatically dismount players.
A first pass at lower end hardware
Work has begun on additional support for weaker computers and integrated graphics. A render scale option can improve performance by lowering the internal rendering resolution, while a new Minimum quality tier provides a starting point for the least powerful supported systems.
What's next
This period combined visible improvements with important work inside the engine. Client Alpha is becoming easier to configure, more stable during long sessions, and better prepared for a wider range of hardware. We will continue refining these systems as testing reveals where the client still needs attention.
